Mob hands over 2 to cops, suspecting them to be ‘kidnappers’
A mob handed over a man and his ex-wife to Godagari Police Station in Rajshahi today, suspecting them to be child kidnappers.
The two are Ehsan, 30, hailing from Harishpur Moholdar area and Selina Begum of Char Bagdanga in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, our Rajshahi correspondent reports quoting Inspector Premtoli police outpost Nittya Pada Das.
Ehsan and Selina got married around seven years back and they got a divorce soon after their son was born. Now, the son is three-year-old.
Rabiul, a friend of Ehsan, called the duo at his (Rabiul’s) maternal uncle’s house in Godagari upazila to settle issues between them.
The two went to Godagari from their respective residences last night. Selina also took along her eight-year-old cousin Moushumi with her when she went to meet Ehsan and Rabiul.
The three were returning from the uncle’s house this morning and Ehsan and Selina started to quarrel which led the locals to take notice.
The duo’s bickering led the locals to think they were kidnapping the child whereupon they called the police officials, who went to the spot and took them to police station.
