Cops cordon off 'militant den' in Jessore

Law enforcers have cordoned off a building in Birampur area of Jessore suspecting it a militant hideout.

Police besieged the building around 7:30pm today after gleaning information from a detainee named Mozaffar that militants might have taken shelter there, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports quoting Md Anisur Rahman, superintendent of police in Jessore.

Members of local police and the members of counter terrorism unit conducting the drive there, the police official said.

Further detail of the drive could not be known immediately.
