Sylhet-Dhaka-Chattogram train service resumes after 4hrs
Rail communication of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chattogram resumed this afternoon four hours after a train derailed in the district’s Fenchuganj upazila.
The service restored around 4:00pm after a relief train from Sylhet salvaged the derailed train, said Assistant Station Master of Sylhet Railway Station Sojib Kumar Malakar.
A compartment of Sylhet-bound Jalalabad Express from Chattogram veered off the tracks near Maijigao Railway Station around 11:40am, our Sylhet correspondent reports.
The rail communication of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chattogram came to a halt after the derailment, he added.
However, no casualty was reported.
