Mayor Annisul now ‘out of danger’
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq, who was admitted to a hospital after he fell sick in central London, is now “out of danger”.
His treatment is still going on but the mayor is now out of danger, AKM Mizanur Rahman, assistant personal secretary of the DNCC mayor told The Daily Star.
Contacted, his wife Rubana Haq said, “He was suffering from cerebral vasculitis. It was not detected in Dhaka. He was suffering for the last two months with occasional spells of dizziness and lack of balance”.
“This is because his brain vessels were inflamed,” she said adding that he is currently in Intensive Care Unit.
The doctors put him on steroid and other drugs, she added.
Rubana seeks blessing from the people of the country for Annisul’s early recovery.
Annisul took oath as mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation on May 6, 2015.
