Diplomat to be sent home for shoplifting
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is set to dismiss the job of its young diplomat charged with shoplifting during overseas training in The Hague, Netherlands.
“We have taken appropriate actions under disciplinary rules of the government and a process in this regard in underway to dismiss him,” Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque told reporters today.
Mahbub Shahid Shishir, an assistant secretary at the ministry who was on probation, was caught red-handed while shoplifting in an electronic shop during his stay in The Hague.
