Diplomats fly to Cox’s Bazar to see Rohingya camps
Diplomats stationed in Dhaka flew to Cox's Bazar this morning to see plights of Rohingyas who have taken shelter in Bangladesh amid persecution by the Myanmar authorities.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque and seniors foreign ministry officials are also there in Cox's Bazar.
They will visit Rohingya camps in Ukhia and talk to the refugees there.
Over 370,000 Rohingyas, mostly women, children and old people, fled violence to seek safety in Bangladesh since August 25 when Myanmar security forces launched attacks on Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State.
