Doctors from S’pore, India for Quader
Doctors from Singapore and India will be brought to treat Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, now hospitalised for cardiac ailment.
The news was confirmed to The Daily Star by a source, who is close to the top ranks of ruling party Awami League, wishing to remain anonymous.
“As Quader is not in condition to move anywhere, we are bringing specialised doctors from Singapore and India to treat him,” he said this evening.
Quader, now at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, is in a critical condition at the coronary care unit. He has suffered three blocks in the heart.
WHAT HAPPENED TO QUADER?
Earlier this morning, Quader was hospitalised following breathing problems post-Fazr hours. He was diagnosed with three blocks in the heart.
While undergoing treatment at the hospital, Quader underwent another heart attack.
Now, doctors say he will be under observation for 24-72 hours. After the observation period, the doctors can ascertain his condition.
According to them, Quader was suffering from uncontrolled diabetes and blood pressure. Also, the road transport minister has electrolyte imbalance.
