Edu ministry issues guidelines to restrain Aedes during holidays
The ministry of education today issued a circular enumerating some guidelines to curb the spread of Aedes mosquito during the Eid holidays.
During the Eid holidays, the education institutions will remain closed for 12 days, the circular said.
To ensure that Aedes mosquito do not get a free pass to breed due to the absence of teachers, students and staff, the ministry has advised to follow certain procedures.
It has been advised from six to 10 member-teams consisting of teachers, staff, scouts, BNCC and students to monitor and drain any stagnated water in and near the institution premises every other day.
The circular also advised to keep the office rooms of all institutions open every day and ensure presence of teacher and staff based on roaster duty.
