'Evidence found against 5 Jessore war criminals’
The Investigation Agency of International Crimes Tribunal today said to have found evidence against five Jessore men over their alleged involvement in crimes committed during the Liberation War in 1971.
They were allegedly involved with Razakar Bahini (an auxiliary force of the Pakistani occupation army) and committed crimes including killings and rape in Monirampur Upazila of the district
Agency coordinator Abdul Hannan Khan and co-coordinator Sanaul Huq revealed the information at a press conference at its Dhanmondi office in Dhaka.
Of the accused, Siddiqur Rahman Gazi, 70, sub-commander of Razakar Bahini’s Monirampur upazila unit, is now in jail.
The agency officials however did not revealed names of other accused as they were not arrested yet.
