Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) detained a teenage boy from Dhaturpohela village under Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria today for his alleged involvement in selling fake question papers of the ongoing SSC examinations.

The detainee Sohag Mia,15, is the son of Monir Mia of Shibnagar village of the upazila and a ninth grader student of Devgram Pilot High School in Akhaura municipal area, Chandan Debnath, senior assistant director of Rab-14 Bhairab camp, said at a press briefing at Brahmanbaria Press Club this afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off, Rab members detained him by using technology while he was collecting money from the examinees of Dhaturpohela area in exchange of fake question papers, Chandan Debnath added.

During primary interrogation, Sohag confessed to his crimes, he said.

Rab seized a mobile phone set from his possession. A case was filed with Akhaura Police Station under ICT Act, said the Rab official.
