Family members demanded immediate safe return of Mishuk Khan, a polytechnic student in Narayanganj, who has remained traceless for nearly two months.

They also sought prime minister’s interference to direct law enforcers for taking steps to rescue 19-year-old Mishuk Khan.

“We are deeply concerned as we do not know my son’s whereabouts…We do not know whether he was killed or still alive,” said Mishuk’s father Humayun Kabir at a press conference at Crime Reporters’ Association office in Dhaka city.

Mishuk, a seventh-semester student of Narayanganj Polytechnic Institute, remained missing since May 29.

The family said his phone found switched off on May 29 after he saw off his sister and her family at Shimrail bus stand on Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

Humayun said they searched every possible places and went to police and Rab but did not get any clue about Mishuk’s whereabouts.

“Produce him before the court if he was captured by law enforcers for any crime. If not, please release him,” Humayun pleaded.

Apart from Humayun, his wife Rafeza Begum, their daughter Sumaiya Akter Ruma and her husband Kazi Firoz Ahmed were present in the press conference.
