Faraaz Hossain centre opens at Savar CRP
A centre named after Faraaz Hossain was officially inaugurated today at Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in Savar of Dhaka to provide treatment for special children.
Three deans -- Dr Joseph Moon, Douglas A Hicks and Kevin Smyrl -- of Emory University in US, of which Faraaz was a student, inaugurated the centre on the third floor of Rotary Bhaban at CRP, reports our Savar correspondent.
Executive Director of CRP Major General Md Shafiq-ul Islam, ndc, psc (retd.), Transcom Group Chairman Latifur Rahman and Faraaz’s mother and older brother were present during the inauguration, the correspondent said.
The centre will provide treatment to special children, provide education, food and lodging to them as well.
Twenty- year old Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain sacrificed his life for his friends Abinta Kabir and Tarishi Jain during the Holey Artisan Bakery attack on July 1, 2016, in which 22 people, mostly foreigners were killed.
