4 ‘kidnappers’held in Ctg, schoolboy rescued
Four alleged kidnappers were held today and a schoolboy rescued from their clutch at Chittagong city.
Those arrested were all juveniles, identified as Muktadir Rahman Api, Al KibriaTusar, and Adnain Siyam, all aged between 16 and 18, our local staff correspondent reports.
The boy rescued was Mehedi Hasan Miskat, a seventh grader at Central Public School.
Api, a senior from the same school who passed SSC recently, abducted Miskat with the help of his friends and demanded Tk 10 lakh from the victim’s family, Md Nejam Uddin, officer-in-charge of SadarghatPolice Station, told The Daily Star.
Police arrested the four “kidnappers” in a sting operation, luring them in with the ransom, the OC said.
