Gulshan attack: Embassies alert citizens in Bangladesh
The US Embassy and Australian High Commission have updated travel advises for their citizens living in Bangladesh following the hostage crisis at a restaurant in Dhaka that claimed 28 lives.
In a travel alert, Australian government asked its citizens to avoid the Gulashan 2 area and follow the advice of local authorities.
"You should exercise a high degree of caution in Bangladesh," said the alert issued for Australian officials and its citizens in Bangladesh.
On the other hand, the US embassy recommends that all US citizens avoid the area around the restaurant and remain vigilant in their movements and activities throughout Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Japanese embassy in Bangladesh cancelled Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) which was supposed to be held here tomorrow.
