AK-47 found as joint forces raid in Longadu
Two AK-47 rifles, one of the most lethal weapons of history, and ammunition were found during a drive of joint forces in Rangamati’s Longadu upazila this morning.
The raid, where army men and police participated, was carried out in the upazila where recently Bangalee settlers unleashed a rampage on indigenous people.
Longadu Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Mominul Islam told our Rangamati correspondent the raid was carried out on the basis of “secret intelligence” and it was underway when last reported.
Seven military uniforms, two AK-47 rifles, two Chinese rifles, four magazines and 124 bullets were recovered from Golachhari area during the drive.
