Law minister meets CJ, inquires health condition

Law Minister Anisul Huq met Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha at his official residence in Dhaka this afternoon and inquired his health condition.

“He (Sinha) is resting. I did speak with him and listen him what he said,” the law minister told reporters after meeting the chief justice.

Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha is scheduled to stay abroad from September 10 to 22 for treatment purpose. When asked in this regard, Anisul said, “I didn’t talk about the issue.”

Earlier in the day, the law minister also met acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah at his office in the Supreme Court and assured him of all out cooperation from the government.

“It was a courtesy call. I assured him of all cooperation from my side,” Anisul Huq told reporters after holding a meeting with the acting chief justice at his office in Dhaka this noon.
