41,132 students pass MBBS entry test
A total of 41,132 students, who appeared in the MBBS admission tests for the session 2017-18, have achieved at least 40 percent mark that is required to be considered for admission either in public or private medical colleges.
This is more than 50 percent of the total 80,818 students who appeared in the tests held on October 6, said Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The results were published today evening, and can be found on the website of Director General of Health Services (DGHS).
"We are happy that the tests were held in the last two years without any controversy," Prof Azad told The Daily Star.
According to the DGHS, there are 3,318 seats in the 31 public medical colleges while 6,225 in 69 private medical colleges of the country.
