Gaibandha-1 lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton was killed after unknown assailants opened fire on him inside his home at Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha on December 31, 2016.
Manzurul's younger sister Fahmida Bulbul Kakoli filed the murder case with Sundarganj Police Station the next day.
A Gaibandha court on February 7, 2018 framed charges against eight people, including prime accused Col (retd) Abdul Kader Khan and Shamsuzzoha in the murder case.
Police submitted the charge sheet of the murder case against the eight on April 30, 2017.
