1.27 lakh Bangladeshis can perform hajj next year

A total of around 1.27 lakh Bangladeshis will get the opportunity to perform hajj next year.

An agreement has been signed with Saudi authority in this regard in Jeddah.

Bangladesh Secretary for Religious Affairs Anisur Rahman, who signed the agreement on behalf of the country, confirmed the development to The Daily Star over phone.

Last season, the same number of Bangladeshis got the opportunity to perform the holiest ritual of the Muslim Ummah in the holy city of Makkah, where more than two million Muslims across the globe will be converging.
