3 crude bombs explode in Dhaka
At least three crude bombs went off in Nayapaltan area of Dhaka this evening, hours after the BNP-led 20-party alliance called hartal for Wednesday.
"Unidentified miscreants hurled three to four crude bombs at Nightingale crossing around 8:15pm," Tofail Ahmed, inspector (investigation) of Paltan Police Station, told The Daily Star.
None was reported injured in the incident, the police officer added.
The alliance called the hartal protesting the attack on the motorcade of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Karwan Bazar this afternoon.
