Three people were killed in a “gunfight” between two regional groups in Rajasthali upazila of Rangamati this evening.

The members of both the groups traded gunfire for half an hour in Babumora area around 5:30pm, Alamgir Kabir, superintendent of police (SP) in Rangamati, told our Bandarban correspondent.

Further details of the incident could not be known immediately, he said.

Mafzal Ahmed Khan, officer-in-charge of Rajasthali Police Station, said they recovered three bodies from the spot.

Identities of the deceased could not be learnt yet, he added.
