Three students died and 13 fell sick after taking dinner at a madrasa in Narail Sadar upazila early today.

Deceased Alif, 7, Imamul Hossain, 13, and Ashraful, 15, were students of Agadiya-Shimulia Jamiatus Sunnah Qawmi Madrasa, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports.

Maolana Abdul Quader, the caretaker of the madrasa said, the kids went to bed around 10:00pm yesterday after having their meal.

Soon after the midnight, a few of them reported of feeling dizzy and moments later started to vomit.

The sick madrasa students are undergoing treatment at Narail General Hospital.

Food poisoning might be the reason behind the incident, said Anik Saha, a doctor of Narail General Hospital.
