3-month-old killed after abduction in Bagerhat: 3 sentenced to life term imprisonment

A Bagerhat court has sentenced three accused to life term imprisonment for killing a three-month-old child after abduction at Morrelganj upazila in Bagerhat on March 11, 2019.

The court also fined the convicts Tk 45,000 each.

Bagerhat Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Md Nure Alam came up with the verdict today in presence of the accused.

The convicts are: Mohammad Hridoy alias Rahat Hawlader (21), Mohammad Mohiuddin Hawlader (22), and Mohammad Faizul Islam (29), reports our local correspondent quoting plaintiff's lawyer.

According to the statement, the miscreants stole the three-month-old boy Abdullah from the home of his parents at Bisharighata village of Morrelganj upazila on March 11, 2019.

They demanded Tk 10 lakh ransom. Even after getting the ransom, the miscreants killed the child.
