Criminals torched a kindergarten school at Sultanpur village in Bochaganj upazila of the district early yesterday.

Three classrooms, official documents, books and furniture were burnt. 

Police said a gang of criminals set fire to Sunrise Kindergarten School after pouring kerosene at around 3.00am. The school was inaugurated  this year.

On receiving information, fire-fighters from Bochaganj fire station rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

Bochaganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Rashidul Islam visited the spot yesterday.

He assured the local people of taking steps to arrest the culprits involved.
