Launch service on Paturia-Daulatdia remains suspended since this morning due to strong current in  the river Padma triggered by inclement weather.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) decided to halt the launch operation from 10:00am to ward off any untoward incident, said Faridul Islam, assistant director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority.

The suspension will not be lifted until any development in the weather condition, he added.
