Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members will be deployed in municipal polls areas to hold the December 30 elections in a free, fair and congenial atmosphere.

"The BGB members will remain deployed two days before and after the December 30 municipality polls," an official of the Election Commission told The Daily Star this afternoon.

"We have already sent a letter to the authority concerned of the BGB to make the deployment successfully," the source added.
