Bullet-hit body recovered in Satkhira
Police recovered a bullet-hit body of a murder case accused in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira today.
Deceased Noba Sarker, 55, of Kashibati village of the upazila was accused in 18 cases including four for murders, said Hasan Hafijur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station.
Informed by locals, police recovered the body from a paddy field between Varashimla and Sultanpur area around 7:00am, said Shamsur Rahman, member of ward No. 6 of Varashimla union in the upazila.
Police also found a pistol, a crowbar and a machete from the spot, our Satkhira correspondent reports quoting police.
The body was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
Contacted, the victim’s son Liton Sarker said his father was staying at one of their relatives’ house for the last few days.
