Dial 333 for cyclone Bulbul update

People can get the update of cyclone Bulbul and the current weather situation of their respective area or district from their mobile phone.

Bangladesh Met Office has suggested dialling 333 from any mobile phone to get current weather information.

The Daily Star Online has verified the hotline number and got the update of cyclone Bulbul dialling the number this morning.

As per the hotline information, the cyclonic storm Bulbul was lying over Khulna and adjoining southwestern parts of Bangladesh and moving slowly northeastwards around 5:00 am.

Besides, anyone can get similar weather info by sending an SMS to the same number, according to the Met Office website.

For sending SMS, type: "BMDCW<SPACE><FIRST 4 LETTERS OF DISTRICT> " and send to 333. Example: BMDCW DHAK.

The newspaper, however, could verify the SMS process.
