Drug dealer held with yaba in B’baria

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) detained a man along with 3,840 yaba pills from Brahmanbaria town early today.

Arrestee Shakil Khandaker, 45, is a professional drug trader, said Rafiuddin Mohammad Jubair, company commander of Rab-14 of Bhairab camp.

Shakil is the head of a drug peddling ring which used to collect yaba from the border and supply it to different places, our local correspondent reports quoting him.

A team of Rab-14 raided the house of Shakil in Uttar Poirtola area of the district town around 12:45am and arrested him along with the pills.

Later, he was handed over to Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station.
