Ex-deputy minister Humayan Kabir passes away
Humayan Kabir, former deputy minister for Health and Family Welfare, died of cardiac attack this morning.
He breathed his last around 9:00am at Brahmanbaria General Hospital at the age of 68, reports our local correspondent.
He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Humayan Kabir, one of the organisers of the Liberation War, was a member of parliament from Brahmanbaria-3 constituency for two times from the Jatiya Party.
He was also former general secretary of the district unit of Awami League and chairman of Brahmanbaria municipality and Zilla Parishad.
His wife, Nayar Kabir is the mayor of the municipality.
The former deputy minister will be buried at his family graveyard in Poirtola area of the town, his wife said.
