Ex-JP MP Mazibar Rahman passes away

Alhaz Mazibar Rahman, a former Jatiya Party lawmaker from Lalmonirhat-2 constituency (Aditmari and Kaliganj upazila), died from old age complications in Dhaka early today at the age of 80.

Mazibar, also a presidium member of JP, breathed his last around 3:30am at his Gulshan residence.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.

The former MP had served seven terms as MP from Lalmonirhat-2 constituency. He was the founder of ten educational institutions at his constituency of Aditmari and Kaliganj upazilas.

After his namaz-e-janaza in Dhaka, his body will be taken to his village at Bhadai in Aditmari upazila where he will be buried in his family graveyard today, sources from his family confirmed.

Political leaders, administration officials and the general people of Lalmonirhat expressed deep sadness for his passing and sent their condolences to his family.
