Madrasa teacher held for ‘attempting to sexually abuse a boy’

A madrasa teacher has been arrested allegedly for attempting to sexually abuse a 10-year-old boy in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj.

Arrestee Hafez Maulana Abdullah, 24, a teacher of Hazrat Shah Sekandar Aawlia Qaumi Madrasa, is a resident of Baruha Borohati village in the upazila, our Mymensingh correspondent reports quoting police.

The victim’s father lodged a case with Tarail Police Station accusing the teacher.

The arrestee was produced before a Kishoreganj court that sent him to jail this afternoon, said Mujibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tarail Police Station.
