A man died from food poisoning and four of his family members fell sick in Chaugachha upazila of Jessore early yesterday.

The deceased is Abdur Rahim, 34.

Hospital sources said Rahim and four of his family members fell sick after having panta bhat (rice soaked in water) on Friday morning.

They were rushed to Chaugachha Model Hospital where Rahim died around 2:00am.
