Man kills himself after murdering wife, 3 others: police

A man killed himself after stabbing four people, including his wife and mother-in-law, to death over a family dispute in Borolekha upazila of Moulvibazar early today, police say.

Nirmal (35) hanged himself at his home in Pallathol Tea Garden area, Faruk Ahmed, superintendent of Moulvibazar Police Station, said quoting the tea garden authorities.

Nirmal stabbed his wife Joly during an argument in the early hours and also attacked his mother-in-law Laxmi, neighbour Boshonto and his daughter Sheuly with a sharp weapon when they tried to save Joly, said manager of the tea garden ABM Mahbubur Rahman.

Joly, Laxmi, Boshonto and Sheuly were workers at the tea garden, the manager said.
