No new coronavirus cases detected: IEDCR
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is yet to spread in the country and is still limited within a cluster, said World Health Organization Representative in Bangladesh Dr Bardan Jung Rana.
"Having a case in Bangladesh is not a surprise... it is still within a cluster, we need to contain it there," he said.
It is not possible for the government to contain it alone, people should also act responsibly, he said at a press briefing.
No new COVID-19 patient has been detected. However, one more novel corona infliction suspect is kept in isolation, said Prof Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Director, Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
Since the announcement of detection of coronavirus on Sunday, IEDCR got 509 calls -- of which 479 were coronavirus related.
"18 persons physically came to IEDCR. We collected blood samples of four," she said.
Regarding the infected persons, she said they developed fever within four to seven days of their return to the country.
