One gets life term for killing 4-yr-old boy in Manikganj

A Manikganj court sentenced a youth to life term rigorous imprisonment in a case filed for killing a four-year old child in 2013.

Additional District and Session Judge Shahana Haq Siddiqua passed the order in presence of the convict Sohel Mia.

The court also fined him Tk 10,000, in default of which he will have to serve another two months in prison, Additional Public Prosecutor Mathur Nath Sarker told our Manikganj correspondent.

According to the case statement, Sohel strangled Saiful Islam, 4, and buried his body at a nearby field. Saiful was son of Billal, a resident of Manikgankj Sadar upazila.

Locals handed Sohel to police as he was last seen with Saiful. The next day, Sohel confessed to his crimes.
