Pay workers Eid bonus by Sunday: Minister to industrialists

State Minister for Labour and Employment Mujibul Haque Chunnu today asked industry owners to pay Eid bonus to their workers by Sunday.
The workers must also be paid the salary for 15 days of the current month, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports quoting the minister.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The decision was taken at a meeting between the minister and the owners and workers at labour and employment ministry.
The labour law does not include Eid bonus for workers, the daily reports quoting the minister. "But the owners usually pay the bonus. And, thus the decision."
The owners are said to have agreed on the issue.
