Physically challenged girl raped in N’ganj, 1 held

A nine-year-old physically challenged girl has been raped by a youth of the same village in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj.

Police arrested the 16-year old accused from Mukundi area of the upazila this morning in this connection, said Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Araihajar Police Station.

The mother of the victim filed a case against the accused last night following the incident of rape that took place yesterday afternoon, our Narayanganj correspondent reports quoting police.

The accused was produced before a court this noon after he confessed to his crimes in primary interrogation, the OC added.
