Rain brings relief to Dhaka dwellers (video)
After a heat wave, Dhaka city dwellers heaved a sigh of relief this afternoon with a downpour.
The noise of thunder rolled across the city along with the rise of a fresh nippy wind since the afternoon.
Bangladesh Metrological Department is yet to measure the rainfall in the capital, and said there are chances of more rain in the next three days.
The temperature also fell to 28 degrees Celsius in the capital today, much to the comfort of the city's more than one crore residents.
The maximum temperature in the city was 34.5 degrees Celsius today, the Met office says.
A moderate to mild heat wave has been sweeping over the city for the last few days and is expected to continue again after May 18, said a met official.
