Rajon’s father urges PM to bring back Kamrul
Rajon's father has urged the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to bring back Kamrul Islam, one of the main culprits in beating dead his son in Sylhet.
Azizur Rahman Alam, the father of the ill-fated 13-year-old, made the call in a four-point demand memo submitted to the primer through the deputy commissioner of Sylhet yesterday, reports our local correspondent.
Other demands include immediate punishment of the killers, departmental probe into the negligence of police in duty and exemplary punishment to the people who assisted the killers, and security of his family.
Sheikh Md Samiul Alam Rajon was beaten to death in Kumargaon Bus Stand area of Sylhet on the morning of July 8.
Kamrul was caught in Jeddah by some Bangladeshi migrants on July 13, who had tracked him down after a video clip of the brutal incident went viral on the social media, sparking widespread outrage at home and abroad.
One of the culprits filmed the brutal beating and shared it on Facebook.
Kamrul was seen hitting the boy with a stick in the feet, joints of the legs and the shoulders, and the head.
