Schoolboy shot dead on Jhenidah frontier

The bullet-hit body of a schoolboy was found along Moheshpur frontier in Jhenidah this morning.

Hasanur Rahman, 14, son of Jahangir Kabir of Bakospota village, was a class IX student of Bakospota Secondary School, our Jhenidah correspondent reports quoting Sayed Al-Mamun, officer-in-charge of Moheshpur Police Station.

Informed by locals, police recovered the bullet-riddle body of Hasanur on Khosalpur border around 8:00am, the OC said.

Confirming the killing on the border, Lt Col SM Moniruzzaman, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh battalion-6, said the motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
