Shipping ministry officials’ Eid leave cancelled

Leave of all officials of the shipping ministry and its three agencies has been cancelled to ensure hassle-free journey of the holidaymakers through waterway.

The shipping ministry today issued an order in this regard taking the country’s flood situation under consideration.

The order said leave of all officials of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) and Shipping Department has been cancelled.

The decision has been taken so that holidaymakers can reach their near and dear ones and return their respective working places after celebrating the Eid through waterways smoothly.
