SSC results to be published May 6
Results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published simultaneously across the country on May 6.
Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Ziaul Haque confirmed The Daily Star this afternoon the results will be handed over to Education Minister Dipu Moni.
After the handover, the minister will make official announcement of the results from the venue – International Mother Language Institute, he said.
Usually, chairmen of 10 education boards hand over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina every year, but this time the premier is in London, a ministry official said.
Similar to previous years, results will be made available from the respective schools and education boards’ website. Students will also be able to receive the results through SMS.
This year, a total of 21,35,333 students from 28,682 institutions took the written exam from February 2 to 26. They also took practical tests between February 27 to March 14.
Of the examinees, 17,00,102 sat for the SSC exams under eight general education boards while 3,10,172 for Dakhil exams under the Madrasa Education Board, and 1,25,059 for vocational exams under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
