Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three suspected members of a robber gang at Ahammadpur Bazar in Baraigram upazila of the district on Monday night. The arrestees are Kalam, Saddam and Khairul, said Jamal Al Naser, commanding officer of Rab-5. The elite force, acting on a tip-off, raided the area while the gang was making preparation for committing robbery there around 10:00pm. Later, the law enforcers arrested the trio while their other cohorts managed to flee the scene. They also seized one light gun, a revolver and seven bullets from their possession.
