Teacher ‘gang-raped’ in Barguna

A primary school teacher has been allegedly gang-raped in a classroom in Barguna’s Betagi upazila.

The victim filed a case against six youths with Betagi Police Station, our local correspondent reports quoting the station’s Officer-in-Charge Mamun-or-Rashid.

Those named Sumon Biswas, 35, Md. Rasel, 24, Sumon Kazi, 30, Md. Rabiul, 18, Md Hasan, 25 and Jewel, 30, are all residents of Kadomtala area, the OC said.

The victim was speaking with her husband in a class room around 3:00pm after school on Thursday when the six youths entered. They tortured the husband and gang-raped the woman, police said.

Police took the victim to Borguna Sadar Hospital for medical examination, the OC added.
