PEC, Ebtedayee pass rate 95.50%
The pass rate of Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee terminal examinations is 95.50 per cent this year, 2.09 per cent lower than the previous year.
The pass rate in the last year was 97.59 per cent.
A total of 23,72,154 students have passed the PEC and Ebtedayee examinations this year.
Among the students, a total of 10,72,154 are boys and 12,71,589 are girls.
This year, total 3,26,088 students have achieved GPA-5. Of them, 1,41,451 are male and 1,84,637 are female students.
Among the eight educational boards, Barishal Board fared best with a pass rate of 96.93 per cent.
Of the 64 districts in the country, Gazipur district has secured the top position with a pass rate of 99.14 per cent.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain announced the results of primary and Ebtedayee education completion at a press conference around 1:00pm at his secretariat office.
Prior to that, copies of the results were handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The examinees can get results at their respective schools.
Besides, they also can get results on the website dpe.gov.bd or via SMS.
