Qatar returnee escapes from Brahmanbaria hospital
Health department in Brahmanbaria is looking for a Qatar returnee, who escaped from hospital yesterday evening.
The 30-year-old man went to the emergency unit of Brahmanbaria General Hospital with complaints of fever, cold, cough and breathing problem, our correspondent in the district reports quoting doctors of the hospital.
After primary treatment, he was sent to medicine ward for admission, said Dr ABM Musa Chawdhury, who attended to the patient, said.
The patient escaped the hospital when he learnt that he had coronavirus-like syndromes and further tests were needed, the doctor said.
The Qatar returnee -- hailing from Chatalpar union in Nasirnagar -- landed in Bangladesh on March 3, said Shawkat Hossain, superintendent of the hospital.
"We informed the matter to district civil surgeon and Nasirnagar Health Complex authorities," he said.
After being informed, we are working to trace the expatriate, Dr Md Shah Alam, civil surgeon of the district said.
