Met office predicts rain until tomorrow morning
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at a few places over the country in 24 hours as of 9:00am tomorrow.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Chattogram and Barishal divisions,” said a press release of the met office this morning.
It is also likely to occur with hails at isolated places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions during the period, the release added.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may fall by 1-3 degrees Celsius over the country during the period.
The highest temperature in the country was recorded 33.8 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram yesterday and today’s minimum temperature is 12.7 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet.
The sun sets at 5:54pm today and rises at 6:31am tomorrow in the capital.
