Complaint lodged against 65-year-old for raping minor girl

A complaint was lodged against a 65-year-old man with Chasra police outpost yesterday for reportedly raping a seven-year-old girl several times at Raypara village of Chasra area of Jashore last night.

Inspector Shahajahan Ahmed, in-charge of the police outpost said the accused Abdus Sattar remained absconding following the incident.

Quoting the complaint, Inspector Shahajahan said the accused Sattar took the minor girl to the rooftop of his house and raped her several times last night.

The victim's family is the tenant of the accused, he said, adding that they were trying their best to arrest the accused.
