3 killed, 15 hurt in Thakurgaon road accident

At least three people were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident on the Thakurgaon-Panchagarh highway in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila this morning.

Identity of the victims could not be known immediately, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent.

The accident occurred around 9:50am when a Thakurgaon-bound passenger bus collided head-on with another passenger bus coming from opposite direction leaving two people dead on the spot and at least fifteen others injured, the correspondent reports quoting Md Ashikur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Thakurgaon Police Station.

On information, fire-fighters and police went to the spot and recovered the bodies and brought the injured to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where another person succumbed to his injuries.
